I learnt from "Newsweek" there is an important yet unspoken rule at the Jerusalem club: no Arab players are ever going to be hired. The team's captain was reportedly fine to abandon the rule and in return was supposed to be threatened by the fans and eventually forced to change his mind and apologise for "irresponsible declarations". 

It could have been a reason why Aviram Baruchyan (the quoted player) decided to accept the offer of Poland's league club, Polonia Warszawa.
